Terms & Conditions

As a participant in the BCP, you must adhere to the following requirements:

1. Present your ID and any concession card (if eligible) during your first session.

2. Attend and actively participate in the program without the influence of alcohol or drugs. Attendance under the influence will not be allowed, and fees paid will be forfeited.

3. Comply with facilitator’s clinical assessment and present accurate information 

4. Comply with no smoking or vaping rules at our sites and follow all COVID-safe procedures.

5. Arrive on time, as latecomers will not be tolerated, may be denied entry, and lose their fees.

6. Attend all sessions to complete the program.

7. Attend the program alone; friends and family cannot accompany you, including for online courses

8. Disclose interpreter and literacy requirements 7 days prior to first session 

8. Actively engage in the learning program, participate in discussions, and complete all activities in your handbook to successfully complete the program.

9. Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment; disruptive or antisocial behavior will not be tolerated and may lead to removal of program with fees forfeited.

10. Show respect to facilitators and fellow participants.

11. Respect the privacy of other participants by not disclosing their personal information outside the group.

12. Acknowledge a minimum of 4 participants required to commence first session. If this is not met, Drive Alive Victoria has the right to postpone group or cancel group. 

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

– Cancellation with a minimum of 5 business days’ notice before the first session allows for a refund (total fees paid minus non-refundable VicRoads fees & administration fee).

– Cancellation without 5 business days’ notice makes you ineligible for a refund.

– If you are unwell and cannot attend, a medical certificate within 5 days of the program start date allows you to transfer to another program per the Transfer Policy.

– Breach of Conditions of Attendance results in ineligibility for a refund or transfer to another program.

Transfer Policy:

– Transfers to another date are possible with at least 5 business days’ notice before the first session, depending on availability.

– Transfers with less than 5 business days’ notice may forfeit fees unless supported by documented evidence, like a medical certificate.

– Transferring after attending the first session and providing documented evidence may incur a $150 transfer fee.

– Inadequate notice or documentation for a transfer result in forfeiting all fees, requiring rebooking and full payment.

Disclaimer:

– The ‘Drink and Drug Driver Behaviour Change Program’ is approved by VicRoads under the Road Safety Act 1986.

–  Drive Alive Victoria and VicRoads own the Intellectual Property Rights to the Behavior Change Program and associated material.

–  Drive Alive Victoria does not guarantee the standard, quality, validity, or accuracy of the program material or accept liability for any losses or damages resulting from participation.

Provide feedback or make complaints by speaking to the course facilitator, using the website’s Contact Us form (anonymously if preferred), or lodging a complaint with VicRoads.
