Drive Alive Victoria offers essential Behaviour Change Programs (BCP) designed to assist individuals who have committed drink, drug, or combined drink and drug offences, or refusals, and wish to reinstate their driver's license.

Behaviour Change Programs

Standard Drink or Drug (first offence)- 2 x 3hour sessions over 2 consecutive weeks

Intensive (refusal, high range BAC or multiple offences) 3 x 3-hour sessions over 3 weeks

Interlock Removal (1 x 2-hour session)

Reflective (1;1 session)

Interlock Exemption Reports

Programs

A mandatory Behaviour Change Program will be imposed for drink-driving, drug-driving, combined drink and drug-driving, a number of other serious driving offences involving alcohol and/or drugs and refusing to be tested for alcohol and/or drugs. The nature of the offence, along with any prior offending, will determine whether an offender needs to complete a Drink Driver Program, Drug Driver Program or an Intensive Drink and Drug

Program Eligibility and Registration

Participation in the Program is exclusively available to individuals who receive official notification in compliance with the applicable Act, necessitating their enrollment in the specific Program. Registration within the Program is contingent upon:

- Verification of eligibility proof
- Confirmation of identity documentation

Participants must provide evidence of eligibility, usually in the form of a letter issued by VicRoads outlining the mandated requirement to attend a designated Program.

Please be advised that failing to fulfill these eligibility and documentation criteria might result in ineligibility for Program participation.
